|s3nt3nc3d||I thought there were 2.4L (for a year or three) and the more common 2.5L engines in the TJ's...plus the 4.0L of course. Not calling you a liar cuz I'm definitely no expert on the 4 cylinder engines in the Wranglers...but are you SURE it's a 2.3L?|

|Black98||Making a 4 cylinder any deeper or louder is just wasted time and effort. Have yet to hear any impressive sounding gasoline 4 cylinder ever. Most of the time if you make it louder at all it sounds like a ricer. Ide suggest you save the cash and effort for other parts of the jeep. But if anyone does know a way to make a small displacement 4 sound good ide love to know for a bud of mine.|

|FoXracing5090||hey i watched your video and that's basically what i want to do to my jeep but yours is a 2.5 do you think it would sound about the same on my 2.3?|

|FoXracing5090||i have the 2.3 4cyl i don't know why my profile says 4.0 6cyl but yeah the 2.3 4cyl is what i want to make have a deeper sound almost like a truck i know i cant really get that sound out of my 4 banger but i wanna make it to were its a deeper rumble if you know what I'm saying i don't want it to sound like a little rice rocket.|

Which is it, a 2.3 4cyl that your asking about, or a 4.0 6 cyl that is shown in your
Profile? At any rate, a 4 or a 6 just won't have a quality sound that I think you may
be thinking it will have. Maybe I'm wrong, but a RAT-A-TAT-TAT just doesn't do it
for me. But if it does for you, then go for it.
The difference between the 40 & 44, is the 40 has less baffle to it than the 44.
The difference would be noticeable on a Performance V-8, but on a 4 or 6 banger,
I'm sure you wouldn't be able to distinguish any difference in the two.

It's not a Flowmaster but it's a before/after sound clip of my '97 2.5L TJ with a Magnaflow Catback. Good luck.

My 2005 2.4l has a Dynomax system. It's quiet. You probably don't want that one. I got the Jeep used, and the exhaust was already done. I probably wouldn't have bothered to upgrade it otherwise.
My 2003 Ram 2500 4x4 HEMI has a series 40 Flowmaster on each pipe, and it's given me wood for the past 9 years. I still rev it in the garage occasionally, just sitting there listening to it.
I don't know whether the Flowmaster would sound appropriate on the baby Jeep mill.
