X2. Yep

Back when I was way too smart to read forums and knew everything I bought the AIRAID CAI and AIRAID Poweraid throttle body spacer. Complete waste of money trying to gain power. Made no difference. So then a Banks header..and nothing. Then a full Flowmaster exhaust...and still no power gain, just a loud Jeep hahaaa.

If you want something faster, buy a car. Where the Wrangler TJ is concerned, those upgrades don't produce results like their ads claim.

I have brought it down to 4 of them.

1. AFE Stage 2 Cold Air Intake System Type Cx with Pro-Dry S Jeep
2. K&N High Performance Air Intake
3. AIRAID's Cool Air Dam Intake Syste
4. Banks Ram-Air Intake System

Any suggestions?
Most of them say if i use any of them there is a increase in power and a nice roar.
I dont know about the rest of them but i do know the K&N will give a nice roar and maybe a little better throttle response.

Well, i am looking for better throttle response and a nice roar.

I have also read a few reviews that say that Banks is the best of the lot.
If i do opt Banks, i have to have it get it shipped from the US.

Please advice.

Thanks.

jgorm I dyno tested the spectre intake and found little to no gains.

obidya I have the K&N FIPK system and have notice throttle body response.
I also have a dust cover for the exposed cone, not sure how well that would do in the actual desert... but for here in Indiana it works really well.

TXST8tj You're in the desert. Skip the exposed cone filters. You may even push the limits of a pre-filter (cover) over the cone.

The stock box works just fine. Those will be noisy...that's about it.

Look at the design of the factory intake before the air box. Then look at the design of aftermarket intake systems. Notice that the only difference with the aftermarket is thet have a cone filter instead of box. Do you really think you're going to notice that much difference by changing the shape of the filter?

Jeep actually got that one right.
