Sounds like a plan. Especially since my grab handles and door straps were made by a vendor here...

Ya, way more than I thought I was taking on. It took me 8 days total since I only worked on it from 4pm till about 11pm every eve. There was so much involved. I figured, sand, clean, repeat, tape, prime, paint...HA! Seat bracket bolts were a b!tch. The carpet hadn't been removed in over 10 years! There was so much caked on crap...the driver and passenger floorboard had serious surface rust, etc...labeled every bolt and part removed, also cleaned every bolt and part removed...
When all was said and done, took just over an hour to reinstall everything. But, I think it was well worth it. Now I just need to cut out that rust spot under the license plate, weld in a patch, then I'm Raptor lining the corners instead of buying corner guards. If I take her back out on the trails next spring, the corner guards may be revisited.

Mamefreak Was trying to chase down a vac leak at around 2k rpm. Sprayed brake cleaner on all the vac lines and finally found that my brake booster check valve was cracked. Dealership didn't have any but advanced auto had it for ~$8!
Seems to have fixed about 50% of the leak.

thedawgshow Drove it to Lowe's and purchased a drill bit and punch to drill drain holes in the frame....

put it up in the air.....

Took a small coffee and smoke break....

Then got underneath there and started drilling......

Then I grabbed the punch I never used and the old steering gear I replaced and headed back to town and got my $5.00 for the punch and $80.00 for the core return!!!

KSTJ Tuesday, replaced the exhaust system. The previous owner did a terrible weld job and made my life a living hell Tuesday but needless the say after 3 hours got it knocked out. Today I am replacing the front u-joints.

thedawgshow Nothing yet, but........

today is a day off from the ol' salt mines, and I still have a lot of other chores like mow the grass, take the boys to Piano and Football, but I think I have just a few hours to work on the TJ. Hmmmmmmm.......... Maybe a trip to town to get a drill bit to drill 1/4" drain holes in the frame. I hope my little 3/8 drill will do the job.

Novak cable shifter... it replaces the stock transfer case shift linkage with a smooth gliding cable.

ptoncannon ive had a rough couple of days with the jeep... I've found a few spots of rust after i had my jeep flooded with about 2 inches of water after i left my windows open all night as it rained, and isn't predicted to stop for about 3 days, so now i have to deal with the smell of mildew and nasty carpet and a wet ass along with it.. as soon as it stops raining I'm taking the seats out, drying everything out, checking for rust, using that eastwood rust encapsulator and rust transformer to ensure everything is solid and replacing drain hole caps. but then today, what i thought was steam just coming off the hood actually turned out to be my engine/radiator. my radiator has a leak somewhere in it and I'm just going to go ahead and replace it afterr 150,000 miles. I'm a little pissed because this is my DD... oh well! gives me an excuse to work on the jeep! (: haha

any recommendations on radiator types and where to buy them? I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to radiators!

Mamefreak Got my ARB sliders in, I'm not sure if I'll get them on this year though, weather is starting to change and I really want to coat my frame while it's still rust free.

So much Jeep work to do, so little time...

Raif281, I got it from Eastwoods website, there was a sale at the time. Amazon is good to check too. I think Eastwood is doing a 10% off deal if you give them your e-mail address.
