i have had my arctic 2 months to the day. the emotional bond has long been there. i love this jeep! the new penastar and 11-12 interior are perfect. someone at work asked me "hows the jeep?" i replied "perfect in every way shape and form". when i saw it on the lot, it just hit me in the face. i said "now that is different!" as luck would have it, the arctic comes very well equiped, so saved some mod money from the get go. hope to feel this way well into the future.

if i was a rich man, i would go back up to the dealer and buy the COD MW3 they have. just to have it.

basecamper MXMAN glad you are loving your Jeep! We made a close trade I went from a 2005 Avalanche LT. It's amazing how personal experiences differ

Headlights - Really??

Radio - I agree needed a little help from the factory but I have the 430N in my GC Overland and I think it sounds real good

Work from home 6spd totally agree its awesome

Engine yep right on

In the end we are all Jeepers and this forum is great!!

Kelsey73 You're screwed.

Welcome to WF. I started becuase I always wanted a jeep. Next thing I knew I was thinking about selling my challenger SRT and lifting my wrangler. It's only started for you.

I'd wave at you if I saw you.

I, too, love this forum. Folks are most helpful here. It seems a much friendlier place than the other Jeep forum I have lurked in.

2012- My Impression

So I have 500 miles on the Jeep. 2012 Rubicon Unlimited, black/black, 6 Speed, 730 Radio, Auto climate, soft top....

1st I want to say you all suck I had no clue I'd get the bug to accessorize this thing like this. Every damn day I'm looking up parts and ideas. I ride MX and I thought that was addicting, nothing like this Jeep thing.

I traded in a 2007 Chevy Avalanche LTZ so thats my comparison model.

Headlights- There really not that bad at all, my Chevy was way worse. I'll most likely add better bulbs but no hurry. This is based on street driving at this point.

Stereo- It's not great at all. I did add the the Polks to the sound bar and did the pillow insulation. Tons better. The system sounds better at higher volumes for sure. Based on no real accoustics in the Jeep I'm not sure how much better it can get. FYI I drove the new Jeep Grand Cherokee with the same system and it was tons worse than the Jeep.

6 Speed- I office from my house so no commute, hence the 6 speed. I love it, I smile like crazy.

Engine- I never drove an older model to compare. This engine has no issues at all, plenty of horses for my driving.

Overall I'm thrilled with it. It's my "mid life crisis" vehicle and it's great to feel like your actually driving again vs. crusing around. As my body wears out from riding MX I see doing more and more offroading in the Jeep.

So I'm more than ahppy with this thing.

Mods so far-

Pold Audio Speakers
Mopar Fule Door
Mesh Grill Guard Inserts- On Order

Future mods-

Damn I hate to think about it...... Too many in mind

This board has been an excellent source of information and depression as I see what you all are doing with your Jeeps. And FYI, I keep waving like you all demand and nobodys waving back
