Mo Kirkwood It's actually pumped a bit more than that. It's fun when I need it and the EFI gives me OK milage too.

C6Rubicon I own both. Can't beat crawling offroad one weekend and doing 140+ at the track the next.

hellhound94 I've been fortunate enough to own two Corvettes in my lifetime: a 1967 and a 1976. I had the 1976 from 1984 through most of 1991...about eight years. Living in Michigan, and then Ohio, I, of course, did not drive the 'Vette in the winter. I actually put it on blocks every November.

The Monday of Thanksgiving week in 1991, I came home from work one day and decided I'd better get the 'Vette ready for winter. After all, it needed a good rest seeing as I'd put a grand total of 250 miles on it that year. Yup, you heard right, 250 miles.

So I got out the floor jack, rolled it into position underneath the 'Vette's frame, pumped it two or three times...and then the great enlightenment hit me. I dropped the 'Vette back down to the floor, put the jack away, went into the house to grab my driver's license, 'Vette title, and 'Vette keys. Immediately headed over to the nearest Jeep dealer and traded the 'Vette in on a brand-new 1992 Wrangler, 6-cylinder stick.

Keep in mind that I had never even driven a Wrangler before that day! Eventually I bought a brand-new 2003 Sport and now I've got a 2003 Sahara.

I have no desire to ever own another 'Vette. My love affair with Jeeps will last until I die and another thing: I don't have to put the Jeep away for the winter every year!

Nice!! Funny, 92 was the first year the covette motor went up to 300 horsepower!!! Since the 70's energy crisis!

dvdsjk I had my corvette "need" when I was in my mid thirties. Right hand up to gosh, I had my 92' Convertable a week and was broadsided by a Jeep Wrangler. I went to the hospital . It was repaired. I was divorced. She wanted half the money for the Vette. I sold the Vette. Upgraded the wife. And had Jeeps with a Magnum or two in between! Moral of the story: I have no moral!

Hockeygeek21 Dont get a Corvette, everyone has a Corvette. Get something that will turn heads and make jaws drop. The new Challengers look awesome and the Saleen and Cobra Mustangs are sweet. Not much of a Chevy fan but if you are go for the Camero.

Absolutely no way that's real. It's gotta be a Photoshop. I can't bear the thought of sharing my planet with someone with taste bad enough to do something like that to a 'Vette.

lolpetewtf ^ I wonder how many welfare checks it takes to make that

Evian I crave the new Challenger with a Hemi engine all black with the inner yellow headlights. I figure in around 7-8 years (hopefully sooner) I will be able to get one for under 7K.

What good is waiting ? Once you are bald you cant drop the top and feel the wind in your hair

streetjeep When I bought my jeep my wife and family said I was going through a mid life crisis. I said" Nah, I'm too old for a mid life crisis."

Yes, Yes you can!
02-19-2012 05:12 PM
MotorCityBear Yeah but can you lift a Vette and put 35's on it?
02-19-2012 05:08 PM
JEEPDON I kinda always thought of owning a 'Vette would be like owning a .50 BMG
Fun; but probably not really useful. And after a few times, it would probably just sit.
But; the Jeep, on the other hand, gets used a bunch.

mudmagnet63 Everyone need's to own a vette at one time in their life. I hope my time is coming up soon.

Jondalar A Corvette is a very nice vehicle. Great gas milage and lots of cargo space. Corvette owners love Wranglers and motorcycles same as we do. We're all one big happy family of motorsports enthusiasts.

dirtyjeepboy You don't have to get a new one. Good used ones are out there for $5-10K. I got an 87 Vette 4 years ago, Wrangler 2 years ago, and love em both. Got my Blazer for pulling the boat and general driving vehicle, Wrangler for summer driving with the top down and exploring the 180 acre farm looking for new trails to make and major snow storms, and Vette for .... well, just fun, lol.

PeteH Jeep and 'Vette are two different cars, with two different purposes. We've got a 2000 Sport and a 2001 Lexus IS300. I love 'em both. Just not at the same time. Kind'a like oysters and ice cream.

BTW if you're looking for a ballsy fun-car that won't break your bank TOO badly, think of the IS. Goes like stink (not as fast at the 'Vette), handles like a dream, and rides well enough to sit in it for 3-4 hours at a stretch. Unfortunately it's not made here (at least not yet).

tim2 I was told I was going through mid life crisis also. I bought a 93 Vet convertible about 5 moths ago. Its parked in the garage and my 94 YJ is parked right behind it. I figured I had better buy a Vet while I could still crawl out of it.

My JK is twice as much fun, plus has t-tops, goes fast enough and goes just about anywhere. Anyone else this kind of urge?
Because they are AWESOME! Sports cars kick butt and youre an AMERICAN. That's why.

drjay Man, I love this forum. Seems like we all, regardless of age have something in common. Some how, between my grandson and I we will have my wife out of her caddy and into a JKU in the near future. God Bless America, and Jeep lovers everywhere.

tallyyo I have had both...at the same time. The Vette was fun (I've done 150 mph on a highway in Michigan), but I have had 5 Jeeps...and still have one (and no Vette).

Enough said.

GreenRubi My wife calls my current Jeep my mid life crisis. I've always wanted one and finally had the means to buy one without impacting our finances too much.

Now I just have to find the extra $$$ for all the mods I want to add...
