I believe if you get the "plug & play" version, you'll be OK

Wire taps, on the other hand, do, for at least the "12's", cause problems

This is why that most of us adding additional iights, etc., install the sPOD

Aftermarket Thru-Jeep Wiring Harness for Towing

I have a problem. I am going to tow a 2012 Wrangler. Without exception, everyone says that I need to get an aftermarket "harness" or "independent wiring system" that bypasses the Jeep's factory electrical system. I am referring to the turning/braking lights. They say that if I do not do it, then the Jeep will sustain damage to the Jeep's electrical system. It seems that this was not true a few years back, but now with computers in the dash, etc., it is now apparently quite important. Anyone have any advice about this? Any one particular aftermarket kit that you would advise? Someone even said that the Jeep company offers a kit to accomodate this. Help needed. Thanks.
