baytownbert Sounds nice, but give me a quiet Jeep every time, especially if I am on the trail.

Cruise missile My wife doesn't care for you guys any longer......

I just bought the stainless Gibson from Amazon.

Bigdawg0114 I have the same Gibson on my 07 - love the way it sounds! I've heard several different other brands that make your rig sound like a little mail truck, but the Gibson rocks & is relatively cheap compared to the others as well.

I installed myself & it took me literally 20 min tops... as simple as it gets

I8up Truly awesome sound, Hook'em!

bama2012rubicon I bought the aluminized version from Streetsideauto.com $261 shipped. I like it so far.

Braveheart12JK Sounds and looks great! I went with the Rugged Ridge polished stainless split dual system and removed the resonator and welded in straight stainless pipe. It sounds a bit quieter than yours, slightly more throaty with some deep low key drone at highway speeds. I love it! I'm a fan of loud exhausts though. I also noticed the tailpipes on yours look exactly like the ones that come welded to the RR system! Looks great dude. I'm a perfectionist too. Had to have them even and dead-centered!

Casotakar1229 sweet, sounds good. I am not sure I'd want it for my jeep yet though...gotta do my other mods.

Ha, I am done! Overspent considering only had the Jeep almost 3 months, eek. No more mods

And I got it very cheap on those links I post, $256 shipped, versus Gibsons $400.

New2012JEEP Thanks guys, ya it does seem to be a nice powerful note, and is constant(VVT?). You don't hear valves chiming or anything.

Baby Huey I also have the Gibson set up on my 07 JKUX 3.8L 6 speed, it was installed by the PO. I was worried it would sound too much like a Ricer with a Fart Pipe (I hate those things !!) But in honesty it doesn't sound too bad to me ( and I'm 62 yrs old ).
I have ringing ears ( Nam 69-70) so noise kinda irritates me a little. At certain RPM's the Gibson sound kinda resonates a little inside the cab (Hard Top). I don't know how much this will be a problem if at all, while crawling around a trail in 4 LO..... No tires so I'll have to wait to find out.
So far around town and the few drives I have taken in the woods on logging roads, it seems fine.
As for a performance increase ,I cannot comment on that since it was installed when I bought the Jeep....
Possibly the Resonation may go away with a little bit longer pipes on the exit side, get em out beyond the bumper a little more, but then that ads to other issues off the road.... "BH"

Nope, called Gibson to confirm. It will work for the years listed, as well as the 2012. He said the 3.8's may be a little louder than the 3.6.

Thanks! I installed myself, no jacks or anything. The grommets are the worse part. They are hard to remove. I was weary on cutting in incase I didn't like it, glad I did like it because I ended up cutting both sides on stock. Wasn't worth the effort to try and save it, lol.

Gibson directly sells for close to $500, plus shipping. I just got the aluminized, and threw like 3 coats of rustoleum high heat all over it before install.

Part 17303 is aluminum, part 617303 is stainless, fits both JKU and JK.

Cool, was just wondering. With the dealers possibly hard, pedal to the metal style of driving for those 45 miles they owned it, to my hard on the pedal at frist, to nimble now...was just wondering. Will leave it be

I also have different Driving style 3 months later (Cr-V to Wrangler, lol), than when I first got it. I am wondering if I should reset so it can adjust to they way I drive now that I know how to drive it.

Should I redo procal if I do full reset KB? Do you think I will see any benefits from full reset with what I said/asked?

Here is a picture, just noticed video didn't capture whole thing. Mine came out centered perfectly, some people last year had issues with not being centered.
