TJNewbie Thanks again, I'll check out the Iggee seat covers on line, Dang! no green on the sim-leather.

LilYeller Iggee customs from ebay, they are simulated leather and one of the only waterproof seat covers I could find.

Yes I painted everything on the wheel except the part where you put your hands, just used a steering wheel wrap for that.

where did you get those seat covers? Did you paint the center of your steering wheel too?

TJNewbie lilyeller- Dang!! that's an awesome job! I've been kicking around the idea of painting the radio bezel and center console the same color as my jeep- forest green, and the rest of the dash/front pieces and doors gloss black with the Krylon Fusion. but your center console looks great in black, so now I'll have to reconsider.

Did you also bedline your tub? Ive been thinking of that. Is it louder while driving?
I did bedline the tub and yes it is way louder and way hotter. that carpet keeps out alot of heat I am now finding out lol. And do which ever makes you happy with the dash I was considering those 2 things also. I felt that if I painted the radio bezel then the center console would have to be painted with it. I have seen many people paint just that bezel and not many with their interior like this. The wife loves it and says it should have come from the factory like this since all the lines match up.

baerbonesjones the red on white looks sick, is that the fusion pepper red?
02-18-2012 06:46 PM
Image Group They were black but, I decided to go red. My next project is the aftermarket fuel cover I have. It's faded now so it needs an upgrade. Here's a shot of both bezels.

Image Group I just finished my bezels today. Went red to match the rest of my accents and trim.

LouieDelTorchio They have pepper red, sundried tomato, and bergundy. I'm going with pepper red.

baerbonesjones lilyeller, you my freind have just given me the motivation to paint my interior, ive never been a fan of the spice interior in my jeep, do thay make that fusion paint in red?

LilYeller I wouldnt paint those decals on the side. They are cheap enough to have someone make them in red. Painting the bezels is one of the first thing that most people do nowadays you can do what TJNewbie said and sand them down a bit to get the paint to stick, use 600 or 1000 grit paper to dull them down then paint away. For the pinstripe, you can do the hair drier trick to heat them up a bit then they should come right off, if there is any residue left then use some adhesive remover to get it all off. As for the bezel inside I say do it! I love interior paint on a wrangler lol here are some pics of mine to give you an idea of different things that can be done. When doing the interior definately use Krylon fusion paint, it is made for plastic and not much else will stick to these interiors. I look forward to seeing more pics!

TJNewbie you can order new decals on line in the color you want, try pixeldecals.com

TJNewbie Those are actually decals. Using a blow dryer to heat up the decal will help pull them up. I would remove the headlight bezels, scuff them up alittle with light weight sand paper or a med grade scuff pad, then rinse and dry. then use some krylon paint in what ever color you want, I just used the Krylon for plastic gloss black on all of my faded black trim pieces; bumpers, fenders, door handles, wiper arms, mirrors ect. and it worked great. I also painted the grill inserts that were chrome. I see that your hood wranglers are chrome, I taped mine up and painted them too.

LouieDelTorchio Oh, and i'm also thinking about painting the bezel inside of the car that surrounds the head unit and hvac.

Painting headlight bezels, tags, and possibly interior

So im thinking about painting my bezels. They are chrome right now, which are alright but im thinking i want to make my black wrangler have a trim of darker red. I changed my gauge lights to red led's already to match my pioneer head unit, so this would go along with my jeeps theme. Here are the bezels.

I also want to paint these Jeep and Wrangler emblems on the side red also. How would i go about doing this? Just tape it off or something?

What paint should i use? I heard Krylon Fusion works well. Any preparing that i should do?

and also on a side note, i have these two thin white strip things down the side that are chipping away.

Im thinking of just taking them off. What would be the best way to do this?
