3TimeOwner wife took the jeep to work today, loves driving it, (except in the big winds) last night she asked me if I was going to get that hoist finished so we can get the hard top off and the soft top put on this weekend.

Love my wife

JEDI4hire When I was deployed and decided that I was getting our first Jeep when I got back, she really hated the idea. But obviously my money my choice. She didn't want to ride with the top down, she thought it was noisy, and that it drove rough. But once she saw the Jeep wave and got to drive it with the top down by herself. She loves it now and wants her own Jeep so she can wave at people.

Piper54 My husband liked mine so he bought his own, and now the Jeep Account is always empty.

kenb1023 I was in the office one day and the wife comes up and says "We don't use the boat anymore so why don't we get a Jeep". Two weeks later the 07 JKUS is in the drive. $5K in mods latter she has a new name for it “The Black Mistress”. She gets all my spare time and money. However, she loves to trail riding and as long as she can get in and out of it (That’s why I got retractable running boards and grab handles) and I don't neglect the other vehicles she is happy. And so am I

Now I am kind of hoping we get sort of stuck when we go to CO. Want front and rear lockers. Hehehehe

dadrunamok I musta married well. My wife loves being in the Jeep, but doesn't want to drive it. She looks good sitting over there too.
When I got a nice bonus from the office she said, "I think you need to get that Jeep stuff you've been looking at." So now I have a new bumper, a winch and rock rails. Plus, she's a sports fan.

Yeah, I married well.

realter My wife who said she'd never ride in it, now asks "are we going in your Jeep"? Somehow the climb in, the way the headrest hits her head, all the stuff she dilkiked the first time she rode in it, has been forgotten. She even told me the other day I forgot to wave at another Wrangler driver!

odimodus My wife just got her first jeep. She's terrified I'm gonna take it mudding or something though, like i have a history of that...

Jeep lunatic I was married, we split up, in parting she suggested I marry my Jeep since I love it so much. Haha I'm so much happier now. Ding dong the jeep haters gone!
03-30-2012 11:26 PM
Jeep lunatic Dump her!

Marce1 I'm not married but I know my girlfriend hates my jeep. Every chance she gets, she's pointing out another car/jeep/vehicle that she would've preferred I bought. And then of course, there's the whole "do you need this? really? really???? how about we go buy me that gucci purse! or errr those sun glasses!" and i'm like but baby, you just bought gucci glasses! that's when she answers back NO! THOSE WERE MARC JACOBS!!!! doh...

superdave78 I am on the floor laughing....This is great!! It's nice to know I am not the only one. I got my jeep and my wife has been complaining ever since because I keep wanting to purchase mods or extra stuff for my jeep. I have to pacify her here and there but she has put a stop for now on my purchases. I love the link to the cartoon conversation.

mxman122 My wife says I'm like a "damn 5 yr old" and are looking at the "Jeep stuff online again". My favorite is if she see's anything from Amazon or EBay she's on me like nobodys business wanting to know what it is. Ahhhhh 22 years of marrital bliss. I'd definitly pick the Jeep over her anyday.

Gottabstick When I first saw this thread I thought of my 'deer vs jeep ' thread. Chuckling I thought surely its a non contest- just got to really step on the gas first to make it quick lol

Chris M My wife thinks the Jeep is a mid life crisis. She thinks it's ugly as can be too. But she understands it's one of my hobbies so she doesn't mind too much. She rolls her eyes when I mention stuff I'm going to do. But all in all, she doesn't seem to mind.

As long as she gets to go shopping from time to time, she's all good.

If you are truly having to debate or choose between wife and Jeep, then you might want to reevaluate priorities.

Yup. I'm in the same boat.

The only time she remotely enjoys it or isn't bitching about it is down the shore.

Me, she never stops bitching, unless she's asleep.

AMangum My girlfriend doesn't hate mine, she just doesn't get the whole "Jeep" thing. We are spending the week in Grand Cayman and I did manage to talk her into renting one. We got a 2012 soft top 2 door and after our dive today, we dropped the top and drove around in the beautiful weather and I think she at least "gets it" a little more now.

There are a ton of Jeeps here by the way, but none of them are lifted. Since the whole island is no more than a few feet above sea level, I can understand why I guess. It just seems so odd tough.

Ravensfan My wife loves my jeep. She says she never has to worry about me cheating on her because any spare time or money I have get spent on my jeep.

Hawaii 5-0 My wife loves our 09 Rubicon Unlimited. I wasn't so keen on Detonator Yellow when I found it online, but my wife loved the color right away, so I knew what color I was getting. Yellow is a small price to pay for driving home a 4dr Rubicon that puts my old TJ to shame.

Guadzilla I take back everything I said when I started this thread LOL. My wife just handed me $3000 for my birthday to lift the Jeep. I'm in absolute shock right now. Do you think I can fit new tires and rims in too with that budget? This is a daily driver, beach sometimes, and trails once in a while. Any recommendations??
