Jerry Bransford The main fuel filter is inside the can on top of the fuel pump & regulator assembly. The filter at the bottom is only a sock that keeps the big chunks out.

Fuel filter problem

Ok, Ijust dropped my tank and taking out my new pump that only puts out 15 psi. Is there only one filter on the bottom or is there one inside the top 2" cap if so how do you get the cap off. I called the auto parts store , they will have me a new one by 2:30.The reason I am asking about the filter is they sold me a separate filter but I dont know where it goes.
