|desertgoose||That's the plan Chucky. Pathetic that I haven't been to tombstone yet and I live about 2 hours away. I promised my daughter a week long camping trip to see 1-2 ghost towns per day this summer. Going to check a close one out in a week.|

|chucky cheese||Did all the dream trips. When my son Colby the cheese had school days off we would throw our gear in the Jeep and take off. I would research areas and things to see and do for the amount of time we had. Never had a schedule or reservations just had a goal to get to and return. Took mostly state roads and saw alot of neat stuff. Amazing is all I have to say. From Roswell NM to Lincoln NM, Tombstone, Smokey Mtns. up over the top to GA, AK up through the Ozarks, Civilwar battlefields, Bigfootville in Texarcana, all of FLA, CA up the coast, LA to NY, NY to CA. Stopped at every cheesy roadside trap. The worlds largest ball of string, The mystery spot, The house of mud, Pres. Clintons favorite beef jerky and worlds largest water melon, hillbilly village and the list goes on. Best trips I ever had. A four banger 2005 manual TJ. Had it to the floor but I did 80 mph on I-10 across Texas. Used 4 high in the ice on the mountain roads. It was the best of times. That was one of my goals in life. Just drive the vehicle you love withno agenda and see America. They were dream trips! Oh yea, we stopped at a park that had a concert in LA and this dirty country hippy looking broad kept trying to give me potato chips out of this bag that looked like it came out of a dumpster. I kept declining saying no thankyou but I appreciate the offer. All of a sudden she gets pissed and hollers "Hey yous ain't from arounds here is ya?" I asked "Why do you say that?" She replies "Cause yous got all your teeth!" True story.|

Seriously check out the link I posted earlier. Hopefully it will open some eyes. Potentially anywhere you go can be dangerous, don't believe everything you watch on fox/CNN etc.

I went this last summer, my jeep was almost 100% stock but it was amazing. I'm hopping I can go back this summer too. But I'd like to hit up Colorado and California if money wasn't an issue.

Complete set is $372.00 with 4,177 miles from Tennessee to Oregon
(or you may purchase individual states separatly)
I found this several years ago, and have wanted to to this so bad on a bike, but I think a jeep would be awesome.

I retire next week (Feb 29) after 43-yrs with a Defense Contractor
Purchased my retirement vehicle (2012 JKU-S, Moded her) and wanted to do a coat-2-coast trip, with no schedule
However, with the price of gas climbing by the day, and much more expensive out West, it's taken the wind out of my sails
So, time and the economy will tell

Going snow camping for 3 days with several other Jeeps this weekend to Mt.Rainier National Park. High mountain snow is an amazing thing to see.
This is sunrise on the North side from the white River valley last time we camped there.
