|Jon70||mhaines giving you good info, but unless you are in an area that allows you to do significant off road time, I find that 33's are great for mostly road and with 3.5 lift will allow you to get pretty crazy when wheeling. I will add a thanks to you for your service.|

Well thanks for doin what you do! May it be done safely
Take a look at build threads to give you an idea of what different lifts/tires/flares/slider combos will look like. Once you get a vision of what you want it to look like, the build list becomes easier. This and others like this are great places to get ideas and feedback from. People are usually upfront about product reviews (opinions), which is helpful.

|ntlwndrsrlost||Very sorry all, as you can tell I am new at this. I will be using as DD with weekend pure joy. Not trying to get too crazy but I am a outdoorsy guy who likes getting crazy every once and a while. I have a manual, which I am assuming has the stock 3:58 gear ratio. I purchased it through a trusted family friend who is a dealer, but I am currently deployed in Afgahnistan and have not actually seen/driven it yet. Just trying to get a head start on things so in a month or so I can hit the ground running.|

Do you have an auto or manual? What gears are in it now? How big of tires/lift do you want?
All things to think about before getting started

New Jeep Owner Seeking best upgrades
I have recently bought a 2007 4D JKU with 50k miles. I will be upgrading the tires, intake, chip, and exhaust first. Does this sound like the right order of priorities? I think getting rid of pie cutters is most def first then I think I will need to increase performance. What size tires/rims would look best and still fit? Spacers are an option also. As far as intake and exhaust what products work best with this model? Also should I consider regear? Is there anything important I am missing?
