|King_of_Man_TJ||I found that a small amount of acetone wiped off very quickly does the trick! Just do a small area and wipe it off quickly. Took all my black spots off!|

|kbwwolf||I used rubbing alcohol to clean the sticky residue off my rig when I debadged the other day. Worked great. Goo Gone will work too.|

There is also a "prep" type wipe and solvents that will clean before repaint....I would use that before the paint thinner but after wax, rubbing compound and clay bar.
Best thing I can tell you is take your time.....it will only take a minute to ruin a paint job if in a hurry.

Try using "Goof Off ". It doesn't damage the clear coat. I used it to de badge a tire cover
and the dealer sticker.

|GoldenSahara00||Use rubbing alcohal, and if its real bad, a little pit of paint thinner in a ragwith a flat head screw driver behind it will do it if you NEED it off, just wash the paint thinner off the paint right away and work on small areas at a time. It is not a good idea to throw the stuff all over your paint, lol. And do everything else mentioned before that. That is just a last ditch effort.|

|InfernoGirl||If its latex then alcohol will remove it. Try a claybar on it. OTC claybars won't hurt the paint and will pull off a lot of overspray.|

|crafty||I used Mequires (sp?) polishing compound for vandalism removal on a car once. Took some time but clearcoat was fine. Red stripe painted on a white car. Got a few cars in the neighborhood.|

|King_of_Man_TJ||Agreed! The owner prior to me did the same thing and it looks horrible...I know a jeep is gonna look rough...but this is just down right frustrating that someone would not take the time and properly tape off the jeep. Looking for any advice guys!|
