Stock shocks are black, from what I remember. I put Rancho Rs 5000's on mine about 6 years ago, and I like them. X' s 2 on waiting till after the lift to put new shocks on.

Jerry Bransford Swaying any at all is definitely not the nature of the beast. Is your Jeep stock? Does it still have its front and rear antiswaybars connected?

You won't be able to use shocks that are long enough for a 4.25" lift on an unlifted TJ, they would be too long and they'd bottom out. I'd wait on buying new shocks until you get the suspension lift. OME Nitrocharger shocks are very tough to beat.

Rubicon2 Sways a lot in the rear? I would be looking at my rear swaybar, trackbar and control arms before I suspected the shocks.

I need new shocks, need advice

I need new shocks for my jeep I think, It has always swayed a lot in the rear when I hit a small dip or bump. ( Only jeep I have rode in so maybe it's the nature of the beast). But I plan on doing the 4.25" Zone combo lift in the future. But until then what shocks do you recommend to use?? can I get the zone Nitro shocks now and use them at stock height?? then use them with the lift? or do I need shocks for the stock height?
