It costs a lot to write "Viking".
That said, the Viking stuff is well-made plus has name recognition. Put those two things together and you get 'highest price'.

I just use the pin, the ARB strap has a sleeve you can use on it for offset pulls.

To many troubles using just the hitch pin-ie: strap size/rope size and the pull has to be STRAIGHT or the hitch edges will "FRAY" the strap-
I use a Lunnette, cause I do towing also and you can add a D-ring if you can't loop the strap-
This one uses the D-ring, but the D-ring is 180° out-
Even for light rope grabs-
Using the Lunnette, there's no sharp edges ANYWHERE and that will eliminate any stresses at the hitch-point !

Can't you just use the open reciever and hitch pin?
Even the oversized 3.5" ARB snatch strap eye fits inside the reciever throat, slip hitch pin through strap eye and start pulling.
Works on any 2" reciever and doesn't interfere with your depature angle.AKA last clunk.

Why is the Viking Off Road recovery hitch sooooooo much more expensive than the Rampage recovery hitch? And while I'm on the subject - does anyone have a recommendation on one that they like?
