gr8fulKID When using the wire loom, try and "stagger" the connections you are making with both the ground and power wires from the relay to the lights if you are able to. Otherwise, you will have a big bulge inside the section of the wire loom where both the ground and power connectors are. Not a big deal, but it will make it look a little cleaner.

Any place that sells wires. Radio Shack, Home Depot, Harbor Freight, etc.

daggo66 Cover your wires with a plastic wire loom. It looks cleaner and will offer some protection as well.

gr8fulKID I think you will be okay. I have had hilites in that spot for the last 6 months in rain and what little snow we had, and have had no problems. For the red and black wires where the connection is made from the lamps to the relay, slide those clear rubber protectors over the connection. I also wrapped some electrical tape around that part as well. My dad's an electrician and he said there should be no problems with it.

SteigerSS I have the same situation and mine are fine in the rain as long as the wires aren't frayed it won't hurt anything

kc hilites and rain??

hello all, i just installed kc hilites on my windshield, and both lights have the wires coming out of the right side. I was able to hide the left side wire connections under the cowl, but my driver side ones are exposed (the 2 black and red connections)

My question is if it rains and the red and black wire connections get wet, will something bad happen? I have those rubber protectors over them but i think water can still get in.

Thanks alot!
