|trukdryverchuck||I couldn't find the metsker map, so my son got the Benchmark recreation atlas. It shows all roads, paved and unpaved. And all of the state parks with phone numbers. But it doesn't specify Jeep trails. At least I can call before we go.|

Thanks for that info !! I wondered why the maps were getting fewer and fewer in the racks, I figured it was just Bi-Mart not ordering them in.
I have a good collection of em,but I don't have em all. Good to have in a pinch, better than nothin. The Forestry Maps are much more up to date and detailed.
I don't have a GPS thats too technological for me LOL.... "BH"

This is from their website.
The Metsker Map publishing company has closed their doors and stopped producing any of their individual county maps. Our recommended option is an extremely similar product published by Big Sky Maps out of Montana. The Big Sky County Maps of Oregon have all the same hard to find, valuable information the Metsker County Maps had, and are printed on a heavier stock of paper for more durability!

|trukdryverchuck||Thanks, I will go to Bi Mart and look for that map. Didn't know about that one, plus I'm new to Yamhill county so I need to learn about the area.|

Hey Chuck, how bout taking the Nestucca river road west out of Yamhill. Lots of roads off into the timber off of that main road. I'm sure there are others on here that wheel around that area.
Another suggestion, Get a Metsger Map ( Bi-Mart) there are a lot of roads marked as "Jeep Trail" on those maps. You might also buy a Forest Service map too... I'm waiting for the new ones to get in stock, they are late this year.
Just have to get out and talk with some of the local 4x4 guys and see where they go in your area... Good luck ! "BH"

|trukdryverchuck||Is anyone aware of places to wheel in Yamhill county? I want to take my son out to try wheeling in his Cherokee. His Jeep doesn't get great mileage, and going to TSF would mean having to pack extra fuel. And at the current prices, that would be expensive. So I'm trying to go somewhere near Newberg.|
