|YJfan0310||Thanks for all the help guys. I filled it up and started to bleed the brakes and couldnt figure out why I wasnt getting any fluid to the rears until I saw the drip in the middle of the frame!! FML!! Now I have to replace the brake line that feeds the rear brakes. Once that is replaced I think everything will be good. Thanks again for the help.|

I think my master or booster is bad. Maby both? I replaced the front brakes and bled the system. I still have a mushy pedal.
Sorry for jumping your thread yjfan

larger - disk
The larger chamber is for the disk brake portion as the pistons are larger and need more fluid flow than the smaller drum cylinders in the rear. There is a proportioning valve below that monitors and there is a switch there that will tell you if one of the systems fails. It may need resetting if you have tripped it.
You want to get enough fluid flowing through the lines to purge all of the old fluid out. Easiest to suction out the old from the MC, refill it with fresh and then start bleeding. With new cylinders, you need to just purge the lines.
You will likely have to bleed several times to get it to where you have a really firm pedal.

|Springsblueyj||I believe on side of the cylinder is for the front brakes and the other is for the back brakes. I could be wrong. good luck!|

|Springsblueyj||The best thing to do is to get the old out. You can bleed it out, or get a suction dropper and remove the old fluid. Put new fluid into the cylinder (both sides) and bleed all brakes. Then top off the cylinder.|

master cylinder help!!
I just got done replacing all the brakes with brand new everything. I opened up the master cylinder to check the level and bleed the system and there is two sides to the reservoir. Am I supposed to have both sides filled with fluid? And should I take the old fluid out and put all new fluid in? If any one can help me asap that would be great because I am ready to bleed and get the wheels back on, thanks.
