I-Want-A-Jeep ^^ this would be my guess. Especially with it being worn badly, it's very likely that the tire belt has slipped or separated and caused a knot, though it would be felt pretty much all the time.

Get some new tires if they're almost bald in the middle!!

Jowilly You might also check for a seperated tire?

Another Guy In A Jeep There are no steering mechanisms in the rear...so make sure ur tire is at the correct psi.

also, check out the lugs

b-mullins1 Its def. not the bumps in the road cause sometimes it shakes real bad and i gotta slow down to like 45 50 to get it to stop. Any sugestions on what that could be. Something squeaks a very tiny bit in the front. But not all the time.

530ktm I would agree, these sound over inflated by quite a bit and maybe you are just feeling the road and bumps. You should not get any wobble from the rear. How much air pressure do you have in the tires?

Duramaxxed If the Tire is like that, it's usually Caused by Over Inflation.

Death Wobble from Rear Tire?

Ive been getting the death wobble at around 60 mph. Not all the time sometimes it drives fine sometimes it shakes a little. i looked at my rear passanger side tire and its almost bald in the middle but the outside tread is good. Is that causing the death wobble or is something broke in the back thats causing the death wobble and my tire to wear in just the middle. Is there something that i could look for that could be the problem? Thanks
