I bought my jeep a little over a week ago and already have a bunch of accessories ordered and I have a list of what's to come. My wife is not happy with me but is starting to get over it. It's such an addition. I love it.

ORNGCR8 2008: you have a JK. 2007-present are JK body style. TJs were the prior generation. And since you're a newb, don't forget to wave back when another Jeeper waves at ya! It's a Jeep thing brother!

dwindeck The rear window zipper can be a pain. It takes some patience, make sure the zipper thingy (that's the technical term) is all the way down, and the window side is pulled in all the way. I know it sounds obvious but I have had one or the other off just a little and pulled it up a little and had the misaligned teeth...not easy to get back down.

daggo66 Since you replaced the zipper and the same issue happened again, I'm inclined to think it is the way you are zipping it. Replacing the entire top won't change anything. The Mopar zipper lube is great stuff and I use it all the time.

2009 soft top rear window problems

Hey guys I'm hoping I can find some help here. I bought my 2009 wrangler new, and not too long after I began having issues with the rear window zipper. It started going off track and the teeth weren't lining up. I spoke with two dealerships, in which one suggested using the mopar cleaner lube, but the other said not to. We tried getting the teeth back on track, we tried soap and wax. I think we tried everything we could think of. Course it doesn't help living out in the boondocks on a dirt road.

After going back and forth with the dealership saying it wasn't covered under the warranty, we found a guy to replace the zipper itself. He completely replace the zipper on the window and the top, but once again a year later I'm having the same problem.

I'm thinking of having to bite the bullet and buy an entire new top, maybe this one is defective?? I was just curious if anyone has had this problem in the past or knows a way to possibly fix it. Needless to say the dealership didn't do squat for me.
