Black98 ^Would this combo make it harder for the single O2 sensor to do its job on the older model 4.0Ls. Ive been considering this for a while and just wonder if the computer is tuned to have the O2 a certain distance away from the exhaust ports. From my understanding the O2 plays a role in determining what cylinder is misfiring .

UnlimitedLJ04 get the 2-piece cast manifolds of a 2000+ TJ, XJ or WJ. Then buy the Walker Y-shaped downpipe for a 2000 TJ.

Problem solved, and you'll never have to worry about it again.

Performance headers on '98 TJ I6 ????

I have a cracked exhaust manifold. It is cracked at the collectors just ahead of the flange.
The shop wants 4 hours labor and $400 for the replacement part with the expansion bellows.

I can find similar parts for $175 +/- 25 thru various online parts suppliers.

If I am going to do this myself, I was thinking about performance headers instead of the improved (bellows) stock system....

Any recommendations? Yes/No? Brands ? Any issues to watch for ( like CEL, need for a tune, other codes?) Is there a DIY with pics somewhere on the Jeep install?

All advice welcome.
Thanks in advance.
