JeepAddOns-Chris The frenchy transmission has both the 21 and 23, but AX-15 is only 23. What you have depends pretty much on what the PO did. My guess is you have the short 23 spline, but it would be a good idea to pull just to be sure.

getting ready to rebuild Ax 15

I have an 88 YJ tranny was upgraded from the ba10 to ax15, after a bunch of research I learned I have an ax15c which is the early year internal clutch slave cylinder type. I'm getting ready to rebuild. I am trying to figure out more about my transfercase. I'm not sure if it is 21 or 23 spline. based on my transmission being the earlier one would that make my np231 a 21 spline? Any knowledge passed on I greatly appreciate. Thanks
