Great Day Gone Bad
So yesterday started off as a great day. Because of the Tropical Storm Ernesto, no one was on the road yesterday morning, so my usual 40 minute trip to work took me 20 minutes. Then my buddy called me and told me he got his new 35 swampers mounted on his rims, and he was ready to do his lift. So i said hell ya, went down to sears, picked up my new air compressor and air tools on my lunch break. We planned on starting the install of his 3 inch body lift and his 4 inch suspension lift, same stuff i have on my wrangler. So, its now about 6 pm, just got home from work, and my friend and I unloaded his tires out of my truck, then my compressor, and we were about to grab the 2 ton hydraulic jack when it started pouring down rain. So i figured i would just hurry up and grab it, well, it slipped out of my hands and landed on my right foot. OUCH!!! I think i yelled out every cuss word i could possibly think of. After being pissed off for about the next 20 minutes, and my wife trying to get me to go to the doctor, we finally started work on his jeep. Worked on it for about 2 hours, then decided to call it quits, so tonight at about 6, the fun will take place again. It will all be worth it come this weekend when we go wheelin. I guess the point of this story is, if things are extremely heavy, and slippery, get some help, save your feet.
