upinar i think thats way to much! i just recently bought my 2002 wrangler sport with 23000 miles, very clean, 3" lift and 33" tires, nerf bars for 13,900. even though the x is a 2004 and mine is a 2002, i dont think the price will be that much different. also, when i was in my search for my car, i found a lot of better deals than that. just keep on searching till u find the right one. good luck

Adam013085 The wrangler x came out in 2002. I only know because I have a 2002 X.

with the power windows, wouldn't that be a pain to take off the doors?
not if they did them right. you can use quick connects for the wires, just unplug and you are good to go. I put them and power locks on a friends YJ.

stainless I got this from

-The SE is the entry-level Wrangler, and it comes with a 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine. (Model years before 2003 had a 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine.) It is apparently also available with a 4.0 liter six-cylinder engine, though I'm not sure if dealers ever stock this.
-The X model is new for 2003. It comes with a 4.0 liter six-cylinder engine. This appears to be Jeep's vehicle to appeal to people who want a six-cylinder engine, but who want a less expensive vehicle than the Sport.
-The Sport model also has a six-cylinder engine. It has a number of options available, such as a Dana 44 axle, 3.73 rear axle ratio, a 30 inch tire package, and many other options not otherwise available on the X. It also comes with a higher price tag than the X.
-The Sahara model has been Jeep's top-of-the-line model for interior comforts and accessories. This model was discontinued after the 2004 model year, but I'm leaving this information in here for buyers of used Wranglers.
-The Rubicon model, new for 2003, includes a number of features to make the Wrangler ready for serious off-road use. It includes a 4:1 ratio transfer case, 16 inch wheels with mud tires, a Dana 44 rear axle, locking differentials, rock rails, and many other items.
-The Unlimited model, introduced in the 2004 model year, is a slightly stretched version of the Wrangler that has a 10-inch longer wheelbase and 15 inches more cargo room behind the seat. It sort of resembles the CJ-8 "Scrambler" in intent. It has a Dana 44 rear axle, a 3.73 axle ratio, and the 30 inch tire and wheel package.

1BLKJP Weird, I don't think I've heard of a TJ having Power Mirrors and Locks? I know the JK's are going to have them.

For that rig I'd say that somewhere in the 16500 range would probably be about right.

1BLKJP Brent, what motor does that one have in it? One of the major differences comes from the equipment that's on them. Sounds like you are looking at a pretty stacked one. However I wouldn't even consider paying that much for one if it had the 4 cylinder.

whats the difference?

i have a chance to buy a 2004 wrangler x with 24000 miles for 18000. how is the price, also how is this model different from the sport and so on.

also with the jeep it has tilt cruise air, hard top, soft top and bikini top.

let me know what you think
