You're right...it's a liability for offroading. But if you're driving in Denver or San Francisco, on pavement, it's awesome, if you know how to use it.

I'm an old-school guy, like you, but I use it when it can help me.

mtnxr After 30 years of wheelin....that is a total rookie techno gadget that gets in the way of being smooth off road. I can see it being useful for my teenage daughter though. lol OK I was being a bit of a smartazz but I don't like it.

Hill assist off/ Menu question

The Jeep manual says I can shut off the hill assist in the personal preference options using the Menu button. Problem is I have a Sport S model with no package options. I do not have a Menu button to get to personal preferences, I can just toggle through the miles to empty, direction, temp options with the 2 button on the left side of the steering wheel. Is there a way to shut off the hill assist with what I have.
