Used (Rough Country) Jeep JK Hub Centric 1.5 spacers made from 6061-T6 Aluminum. Just not blue like Spidertrax. They sell for 59.95 a pair instead of $99 a pair.

What kind of spacers did you get. $150 sounds awfully cheap for 4 spacers and installation.

|pakmanpony||Local off road tire shop can get and install the 1.5" spacers for around $150. He has one in the shop and we are going to test it tomorrow to make sure it gives the clearance we need then I think I'll have him go ahead and order a set of spacers. Thanks guys!|

My 31's (TJ) rubbed at full turn. Added washers to the steering stop fixed that.
But yes. Go with the wheel spacers also.

As for your spacer question, I would recommend Spider Trax 1.5" spacers. The tires might stick out a bit from the fenders, but not much. If you are currently on stock wheels, the spacers would effectively take your backspacing down to 4.75". I have attached a pic of my JK with 285s on 4.5" backspaced wheels. The 4.75" would be 1/4" further under the fenders than mine.
For the steering stop question, just do a Google search for it. I'm sure there are some writeups on it. I'm on my phone right now, else I would find one for you. Basically the steering stood would increase your turning radius by just a bit because the tires won't be able to turn as sharply.

I like the tires (brand new) and wheels so I would like to keep that as is.
So, what size spacers? 1 1/2"? Smaller? What brand and where should I get them?
Will the tires stick out beyound the fender? If so is that an issue?
If I go the steering stop adjustment route how do I go about doing that? Will it affect normal highway use / parking ability?

|4fit||Like jeepdon said, new wheels would be a great, but pricey, fix. Cheapest fix would be to add a washer or two to your steering stops.|

Wheels with 4.5" or less backspacing. (Preferred method)
Adjust lock point.
Don't turn steering wheel to lock.

Tires rubbing front sway bar
Traded in my '05 TJ 2 door for a '08 Unlimited 4 door and it came with LT285/70R17 Cooper Discoverer R/T3 tires that the last owner had just added instead of the stock P255/75R17 tires. These tires look great and are brand new but they are about and inch taller and wider than the stock tires.
No problems going down the road but when manuvering in the parking lot, I heard rubbing. I looked at the front sway bar and the insides of the tires and noticed that there is definately a rub happening.
How can I fix this and keep these tires?
