by far the best Jeep rack out there (MikeYJ I am clarifying my position) get's out of the way for putting the top down, and if you hard top in the future, it is out of the way for that as well.

Get the ladder and faring - well worth the money. The stealth version keeps a nice low profile wile giving you an expanded metal walking platform and tiedown anchor point

Powertrip I have the Kargo Master Congo Cage. It's very sturdy. I haven't put the top on yet, but it will be fairly easy. The rack is hinged in the back, so you only need to remove the 2 front mount bolts and swing it up and back.

Mudweiser Ive been looking into a roof rack for some time. Going with either the kargo master or the garvin one. Do you have to buy the rack and basket seperate? Also noticed the diff lengths...2 for TJ...and 1 for LJ...Is the longer of the 2 for the TJ a better fit? Wish i could see more close views of them on a few different TJs.

2002TJ I've been shopping roof racks for the last year. I'm sold on the Garvin Wilderness. It ain't cheap, but neither was my first wife's retrofit....My second and third wife had substancial factory racks that held up pretty good, but my current GF has them all beat

Sorry for the wait. I just did it today and I took off the top rack(4 bolts) and it s not heavy. I would say it would take about 4 min max to take out the bolts and the top rack.

Tommyfly bestop-product

Have it and love it. Comes with a basket for luggage, or you can throw your snowboards/surfboards/kayak up there. And when you wanna take the top off, the bars just slide on and off

turnstyle I have a Garvin G2 Series Bumper & Swing Away System with all the attachments and while I found their customer service to be very poor, the build quality of their gear is great. When I invest in a roof rack Garvin will be it.
