Door lock keeps freezing

My driver side door lock keeps freezing lately. Has anyone else had this issue and have a resolution? Ive been carrying a zippo around lately and it's the only solution I have as of now. I was thinking of getting those laser pointers that melts ice/snow but idk if that actually works. Thanks
