My Stero in My YJ is shot,

What is the best head unit for a YJ, I just installed some polk marine grade speakers hoping that the speakers were the problem. speakers were niot the issue. I took apart the dash and ran the unit and after a time the rear of the unit was very hot to the touch and the sound quality really sucked. I want something that has plenty of power to drive the Polks without an amp. I also want an Ipod plugin where the unit can run the Ipod. CDs suck in rough terrain.
