Label states to use 1.5 Oz per quart and can be used before oil change or for long term use.
It does state to change oil when it becomes dirty. I change my oil twice a year which is about 2,000 miles.

|WaterDR||Maybe a third to a half. A full can is 16 Oz.|

|TJspeed||so you just dumped the whole can in to the motor?|

Nope. Just tossed it in. It is such a small amount. According to Seafoam you can keep in the entire oil change cycle and I know guys that use it all the time.
I will probably add more right before the next oil change and then perhaps add new oil without it and see what happens.
I am a chemical engineer but i don't claim to know what will happen and how the inside of the motor looks. I just know I had a tick and it is now gone.

So did you replace "x" amount of oil with the half can of sea-foam?
How many miles on your rig? I've used sea-foam in the gas tank but have always been skeptical with it in the engine oil. Especially for 3 months!!!

Lifter tick is gone!
When the weather got cool, my lifters started chattering like cold teeth. Used High Mileage Valvoline Synthetic blend and a half a can of Seafoam and after two or three tanks of fuel (which is about 3 months for me) there is no sign of chatter no matter how cold it gets.
