1fast lorinser I dont have a step by step DIY for you but I know what you mean about the light green and multiple orange wires as I went through the same issues. Basically from your distributor and before your firewall all of them has 1 orange wire and 1 Purple wire so no confusion there but when you get to the Ignition Control Module which is located under your windshield washer fluid tank, Some of them have different colors like light green and dark green with black stripes but most of them have 1 orange wire and 1 purple wire but not all. So before you even begin and you want to check so you dont get confused you can remove your windshield washer fluid reserve and unbolt your Ignition Control Module and see what colors you have. Mine didnt have the orange and purple wire so I found out the hard way. If you need any more help or have any questions you can give me a holler.
