One question leads to the next it seems...
When I'm done and the body is off, the front and rear tub-floors will be attached to the body, correct? It seems that way from the documents I have. Is there some kind of grid or other support under the tub-floors that they're spot-welded to? Or maybe a flange around the body as well? I'm just trying to understand what I'll be looking at in case there's gonna be a rust-fest after I remove the body.

It's almost that easy. I found it easiest to unbolt the fenders from the tub and lift the whole front clip off, radiator, fan shroud and all. It can be done all by yourself if you don't have back issues. Four rugged boys can lift the tub off even with the windshield, seats and rollbar still installed.
The body bolts will be a pain, it's helpful to drill small holes through the floor of the tub at each nut location and flood them with PB Blaster a few times before you try to remove them. You'll have to take the shifter off, the T-case shifter can stay. The steering shaft isn't too difficult, gas tank fill and vent lines take some finagling to get off and on, the clutch master and brake master can give you some issues when you get ready to reconnect it all and bleed them. Tag all the wires and you'll be fine.

Remove Body 1988 YJ
I'm just throwing this out for feedback. It seems like some folks have removed the entire body on their Wranglers to make it easier to combat rust and do some other stuff 'down under' (lift/new body mounts etc.). My project is going to be a bit of a 'restore', and I'm thinking of doing the same.
Are there any threads on here with good details/pics re: getting the body off? I have seen a few... It can't be as simple as taking off those 11 body mounts and lifting, can it?
Go easy on me... I have no idea what I'm talking about.
