Zero flutter in Kansas. Love these and you CANNOT beat DRAKE customer service. A screw cross threaded when I installed... no questions asked Khris sent me a whole new set of hardware.

|fireron||Those Rampage locking latches are really sturdy. I was surprised they were that heavy duty. I like mine but it does give a sleeker look some folks may not care for. The locking feature doesn't hurt either.|

I picked up a set of Daystar Hood Wranglers when I removed my Air Dam, but I don't really see any flutter at all at this point.
I'll install them anyway when it gets a little warmer out. (The package says install at 70 degrees F)

|M5ivan||I'd thought the same thing before I bought it, but it doesn't seem to move at all at highway speeds. No worries|

|3TimeOwner||M5ivan --- love the look. Do you have any issues with the cables slapping the hood, damaging the paint?|

If you like the look and don't mind spending a little extra, you should check out Drakes hood hold downs. They may not be for everyone, but I've gotten more compliments on mine than just about any mod I've done.
PS - Your hood won't move with these on

|3JKs1H1||Here's a pic of the Daystar vrs. stock '12 dogbone. Notice the difference in length, the Daystar is a whole lot shorter. Got these last night, and it wouldn't stretch on. It was around 55 degrees out. This morning I decided to heat one up in some very warm water and it stretched enough for it to latch. Threw the old dogbone in the tool tray in the back, along with a couple phillips screwdrivers in case it pops. About $26 delivered off Amazon.|

Only a matter of time, though. I figure I'll address it when it needs to be addressed.

Daystar KJ09145BK - Daystar Hood Wranglers for 07-12 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec
Yes, they look just like your stock hood latches. But believe me, they'll fix the problem.
The windows in my 4-door are tinted, but I've got a soft top.

|Dusthol||Lots of products out there for the hood. Check quadratec. They have a bunch of different ones. The windows on my 4dr jku came with factory tint. On the hard top and back doors. Its like a 35% shade.|

Hood Flutter and Window Tint Qs...
Is there anything I should do to reduce the hood flutter caused by high cross winds? This sounds crazy, but it seemed like it was ready to fly off during recent winds around 40 mph. Latches verified...
Second question - '12 JKUR on order, but was told window tint of the four door windows was not an option. Can anyone confirm this?
