jsmithtx Everyone has their problems. Root canal is one thing you have to have to truly appreciate it. Other things are minor. Enjoy life.

Well sir, as it sits right now, I was promised another bumper would ship out today and would be at my door this coming monday. I was also told I would receive new shipping info with tracking number today, which I haven't received but am still hoping to today as it's coming from Nevada and they're 2 hours behind me so their workday is still in effect.

I am trying to stay positive and not call back and demand a full refund and go somewhere else to spend my money.

I spent a lot of money (to me) but the shipping issues finally ended it. bought 2 tops jammer, duster, front rear bumper, tire carrier, mats, 16 speakers and 2 head units, GPS...that's all I can think of right now. For the TJ.

JK is getting its parts from BASELINE 4x4
Quadratec will ship to you at no charge if you tell them you are member of the Wrangler Forum. They don't charge me when I order stuff for my Jeep.

nick50471 FedEx sucks. UPS Sucks. USPS sucks. DHL sucks. Speedee sucks.

Lets start a shipping company that has Stephen Hawking in charge of logistics.

ranjr I've always had issues with FedEx delivering packages to the wrong addresses. The ones that require signatures get signed by the drivers and dropped off and are a bitch to track down. You call the number and they send a message to the driver who has no idea what they did with the package. I've even had them sign for a package but leave it in the truck, only to be found the next morning when loading up.

Seems like USPS would be your best bet for being delivered to the right house. They do deal with your mail everyday and a package addressed to someone else on their route but with your name should raise a flag.

Exactly, we ship literally thousands of boxes ranging in size here. I also deliver them.

It all comes down to the mfg, or place that packages your order. We must keep a 97% quality here for packages and no damages. it makes the shipping easier

I'd say that was all your fault , Just messing with ya.

I shipped $1000 of ball joints USPS to Australia once and mistyped the house number on the address. The customer noticed it on the confirmation but it was too late to change it. I sweated bullets for a week but evidently the mail men there are smart and delivered it to the right house.

The Korean I'll more than likely never use USPS again for packages. They lost one of my high priority 3 day delivery packages to my parents... ending up getting to them 5 weeks later. Then they lost a package of rare Subaru parts I sent to a buddy back home. On that one though, I sent it to the wrong address (partly my fault) and it was on it's way back to me. uh ya they still have no idea where it is and I already threw away the insurance card...

UPS, Fed Ex, USPS all do the same thing once its off the truck and going elsewhere they handle the boxes a little rough, and send them on their way. For them to handle each type of product differently would kill their shipment times, thus if a company wants their product to get to you, they should ship it better.

And coming from shittybuilt, the box was probably made in china just like the bumper, and im sure their shipping dept just sends them out that way.

Mr. Sinister You'll be saying the same thing about FedEx WHEN (not IF) they screw up something, too.

jefferyfghezzi I owned and ran a business from 1986 until 2009 and have had no real problems with inbound or outbound with UPS OR FED X . The biggest thing is how it is packaged. If the product is much smaller then the box and it is heavy it has the potential of being a disaster.

I kept from checking the tracking number everyday to keep myself from getting too excited. So on 3/1 I check it to make sure it's still on track and get a message that it was misrouted and now there is no delivery date. I call UPS and they say it made it half way across the country to Illinois to be put back on the train to Reno that it left on. Good work UPS.
That's eerie. I wonder if our bumpers were on the same train. I had the exact same thing happen. Fortunately, the bumper arrived unscathed, but the box is a hot mess.
I ordered some rock sliders at the same time and they showed up looking like they had been dragged through a firefight. And they only had to get from PA to Maryland. The product itself was fine, but the box...
C'mon, UPS, you can do better than that with heavy shipments...

There, fixed that for you. We ship with FedEx and UPS and they both have their bad days. Come to think of it, Americans are awfully hard to please when it comes to customer service. We expect perfection every time and woe to the minimum wage employee that messes up our latte! One thing I have found in my ever increasing years is that if I cut people some slack and focus on what really matters in life (friends, loved ones, sunny days with the top off) I have found the little stuff doesn't chuff me so much any more. Though I expect it takes most folks many decades to come to that realization. I guess what I am getting at is everyone deserves more than one chance. Though I did have a root canal today and I am currently pretty doped up so it could just be the pain killers talking now.

BigEZ FEDEX employees are non-union and are therefore held accountable for their actions.

UPS employees are Teamsters and therefore are not held accountable for their action, much less their lack thereof.

all jokes aside, for UPS returns you are usually required to take it to a UPS location, especially if it's heavy. I even offered to put my damaged rocker armor (also smittybuilt, also busted thru the box and chipped the corner) on the truck for the UPS driver, she refused.

I've had to deal with this numerous times, it sucks but is what it is.

CilvestDrad Most of the time; FEDEX can't even find my Zip Code

They ended up paying. But not without a battle. No issues since. They all suck. But its a necessary evil.

desertgoose We switched from ups to fedex at work. We were getting so many complaints about damaged packages and late deliveries.
However, I ordered 3 parts from 1 place Monday. Ironically each part is being/been shipped differently; ups, usps and fedex. Received ups today and installed, fedex supposedly delivered today but receiving must've left it on the dock, and usps expected Friday shipped yesterday.
Alec at EAD Offroad has been awesome.

Yeah I remember reading about that. UPS style based on what I saw today. Especially since the delivery guy told me that the vast majority of UPS employees don't care at all about the packages and literally THROW them around everywhere

to be honest, if I have a choice of shipping on anything i order from now on, I will ALWAYS choose Fedex or USPS.

Don't get me wrong though, I have had problems with Fedex before, but they actually did something and tried to help and actually did resolve the situation somewhat. The UPS agents I talked to just said there was nothing they could do and it would arrive when it arrived.

My brother works for Fedex and says they can flag any package and have it pulled and re-routed or sped up at the next location it is scanned it at very easily. This act alone where UPS didn't do a damn thing to help make up their mistake is what pisses me off because I've already patiently waited 2 FULL WEEKS for them to send this bumper around the world and then i receive it and it's damaged so I now have to wait another week basically.

44Blues These guys all throw packages around.....and manufacturers should know that. When my sliders arrived from Ace, they were really well packed...I think packaging plays a role as well.
