c0d3x5 completely understandable.. but at the same time.. its a dog eat dog world, sometimes gotta look out for my self to,, and that means not losing my job cause i drive at my job, losing more stuff.. so either way someones going to be hurt

and for a one time passing out in my life.. i doubt i will lose anything, but i want to know why i did..

and honestly that same comment could go to people TXTING while DRIVING!!

Frenz seizures suck.. in PA you lose your lisc for 6 mos. and the Dr. has to approve your ability to drive. Good luck.. and yeah.. that's a body shop job.

Up Hill Bill Just make sure whoever you have do it is a certified welder and you'll be OK. Steering components aren't something you want just any shade-tree mechanic doing. I think I'd take it to a few body shops and get estimates. Do you have insurance? This may be one you want to report and have done above board.

And, glad you and yours are OK. Scarey!

I bet they could weld it on for you. That seems like a standard thing they should do

Sueby Yikes! Thats scary. Glad everyone's ok.

SilverBolt I wouldn't have a dealer do it. Find a good local offroad shop.
03-07-2012 09:42 PM
kjeeper10 Any shop should be able to weld for you.
I think you can buy new/stronger brackets.
Positive on TB's not sure CA's

And glad you are ok

c0d3x5 anyone got an idea?
03-07-2012 09:21 PM
c0d3x5 i am thinking about it.. i might just go ahead and get all adjustables, replace my shock, but i really need someone to weld the bracket on it.. my welder wont do it very well..
03-07-2012 09:18 PM
wanderlust good excuse to go long arm?
03-07-2012 09:15 PM
c0d3x5 yeah would have been very bad...

i wonder if a 4x4 shop can take care of it..

Casotakar1229 dang, at least you're okay!
03-07-2012 09:06 PM
OH9JK Aww that warranty love on that one.

I would find a reputable welder and have them do it. Cheaper then filing insurance claim I would imagine.

c0d3x5 a giant fence and shrub?

honestly.. i passed out at the wheel ( for unknown reasons doctors looking into it)

but i was in my neighborhood headed home from dinner with my girl, and i passed out, ended up hitting a mail box, dodging a house, and a giant pine tree, running over a pompas plant and destroying someones fence

i guess i was really wanting to take off roading to the next level..

03-07-2012 08:55 PM
c0d3x5 i know how to weld.. but i dont think my welder will be good enough to weld on the bracket to the axel
03-07-2012 08:54 PM
kjeeper10 Know how to weld? Lol

Oh... Video or it didn't happen
