I believe it.. A aussie in the front rarely makes a sound.. A friend of mine says he's heard it chirp 3 times in the last 4 years in his..

If you look under gatekeeper53 on photobucket you'll see I beat the crap out of it and wheel with some certifiable crazies. The play area we are in is 30 min from my house.

Gate53 I haven't heard a peep out of the Aussie but I guess it's possible. I do know it puts the thrill back in the wheelin. Now for the under armor, since it only takes me 3.5 qts to change oil due to a blunt rock applied to the oil pan, and 13 gal of gas to fill the tank due to a different rock. Been very lucky so far.

I live in Cali on the coast no snow over here lol so powetrax doesn't make noise wen no engaged? And I don't have it in 4wd unless off roading so a selectable one isn't an nessedy

I ran 32x12.50x15's and beat the crap out of it. Never broke an axle, but sure tore up the flairs. It don't have to be pretty but, maintain, maintain, maintain. I do like it totally functional.

XJ Knight Powertrax No Slip.. Or if you want to pay up get a selectable locker like a ARB. I should also ask.. Where do you live? Cause In winter climates you shouldn't engage 4wd on snowy streets with a front auto locker

edit: let me add aussie lockers do click and chirp when turning on rare occasion.. Less so when one is put in the front then the rear.. Clicking and chirping due to a locker is not something I would wory to much about..

Try the front locker and see how you like it. I find that my Jeep tends to tell me what I need the more I wheel it. Drove it totally stock firat year and went pretty much everywhere everyone else went and many places others couldn't.

XJ Knight don't put any extra traction device in the D35.. You want to keep that thing from as much stress as possible... Depending on where you live put a auto locker up front and roll with it till you can upgrade your rear

I know 2 people in our club that broke their 35 on the street with open diffs.

There are info vids on youtube. one is a guy I wheel with it took him an evening and he gives a good list of tools you'll need, nothing special.

lightnin No problem. Just wanted to see. The Artec 8.8 truss is a awesome design. I have one in the garage ready for my 8.8. I ended up just spending $1450 on a arb, compressor, 4.88s front and rear, install kits and wheel bearings for the rear.

LSD, front locker, front and rear gears installed? What locker. Most are back and forth. I would go selectable if it is streetable over a lunchbox or detroit. Just my preference. Heck I would rather have selectable if it is trail only on the front.

Well the reason for a d44 is its a direct swap and a 8.8 u need to fab and I don't kno how basically I'm going to have a shop do it for me and I got quoted for LSD and gears wit front locker for 1600

lightnin I agree with doclouie. Don't put anything into the 35 if your going to upgrade to a 44. I would definitely recommend lock the front. That is a good place to start. You can go a lot of places with a locked front.

Side note. Why a D44? Have you considered a 8.8 rear?

doclouie If you really are going to get a dana 44 next year I would wait to do anything with the axle.

TjWranglerMan K so I have a d35 and I want more traction but I don't want to break my axels so I was thinking of LSD instead of a locker in the rear and locker in the front would this work? Next year I will most likely be getting a d44 to replace the d35 but for the time being work this b a good idea or would my axels still b at risk I have 32s by the way
