Drix Looks like a great time. Any plans to head out again I am defiantly interested should hopefully get my jeep back before next weekend. Getting my locked 8.8 with 4.88's and matching Dana 30 put in. So I will be down for some testing.

The plan is to head back there on 4/1. A friend from Portland is bringing up his YJ. He hasn't been up here yet. You are more than welcome to join us. I will get a separate thread up on it later.

nwbronco Spoke with David at Northridge. I guess there is a thead detailing the issues with my Currie tie rod over on the JK-Forum. I could not find it. There is an upgrade kit out that I have to pay for, but will get reimbursed once I send the old tie rod back. I keep the ends to use on the upgrade kit. Still not a bad deal. And I have to say that Chris at Currie was good to work with. Stated the kit should be here in a day or two. So, I should be back on the road by the end of the week. And when it's all said and done, I am not out anything.
Chris did say I was the 3rd or 4th to report this problem.

Mr. Fish I remember you. Our yellow Jeep driver had a bit of a double-take freakout when she saw your Jeep coming up the trail. "What the ... is that my ... oh, no, mine's still over there."

206dawgfan Looks like you guYs had a good time. Bob, what a bummer. I hope the warranty stuff works out. I suffered a little damage from my last trip out there also. I will be installing a new u-joint this weekend.

nwbronco The trip was a blast. We had a great time. Tried a few things at Tahuya that we had not before. The goal with our outings to give the missus more time wheeling off road, and give the kid a little experience in her TJ. So far we are doing fine with that. Obivious in the videos and pics posted. Thanks to those folk for doing that.

The rest of the story:

The Youtube video shows pretty much what I did. From there, keen minds went to work.

Ron pulled out the hy-lift, Thane puulled out a strand of cable and clamps, I pulled out the come-along and the ratchet straps. In a about 45 minutes, the end result.

That patch held up through the eastern part on the northern loop, and then back down to Belfair Strabucks. We sat around and had coffee, as well as breakfast sandwiches that the starbucks staff said they were going to trash.

Mr. Fish and his better half hung out with us for about an hour, then they needed to head out. Wrecker sahowed up about 6:45pm, he was impressed that I could drive it up on the flat bead with a broken tie rod. We got home around 8pm. All that said, We had a blast. I owe folks some hardwear, I have not torn it down yet. I am working with Sean at NR to discuss Currie warranty. He is saying Currie wants me to call them. Ought to be an interesting call.

You use it to tune your antenna. The wrong tunings could damage your cb.

1997jeeptj Thanks everyone for saving me from that. I'll get it at Freddie's tomorrow. Can't wait to see everyone at 10 at the Belfair Safeway!

thetanman43 I'd love to go! But alas I'll be studying for finals!

Mr. Fish Regardless of whether they check or not, it's a small price to help the DNR.

And it looks like I'm in for Sunday.

nwbronco Walmart, Big5, all sporting good stores sell them. As tgoat says, the forest rangers are checking. They will hit you up on the staging area. They tell you they ask now as a courtesy, because it is $203 fine if he asks on the trail.

Unfortunately brother your gonna need one, the had some park officials out there last time harassing our folks about it for just being in the staging area. Like said before anywheres they sell hunting license it takes about 2 mins and your all good to go. I hear its a pretty hefty fine for not having on and going too

nwbronco Yep. That'd be me. The missus is getting time behind the wheel at Tahuya. We had a yellow TJ with us. That would have been our kid. I think she is going to ride with us this time. I remember seeing ya'll. I asked if it was okay to head on out. Ya'll hit yellow jacket when we continued to the water holes.
