Idea/appreciate older style curved opening

I have always liked the look of the older style door openings found on CJs. I thought I would see what it might look like if someone were to make up a black decal that mimics this curvature. It would not work on my Jeep as I have a white Jeep w/white top.

This pic shows the curvature I am talking about.

Another way to do it would be to print a decal in the color of your Jeep's paint to place on a black door. Depending on the color of your Jeep it might be more difficult to match however.

What do you think? Maybe I can start a new fad The new angry eyes, anyone? Feel free to tell me it looks silly. The last image looks silly to me.

Photoshop

I want to do some photoshopping. I will try to do one or two a week. As I have not done this for a while and there is a backlog of older requests I am going to ask that those be re-posted so I know that you are still interested. Thank you.

Guidelines for a photo that is suitable to work with:

Those taken with a camera with resolution of 8MP or greater is required for realistic details.

Please provide full size images or reduce image size as little as possible.

Clarity is more important than resolution when photoshopping, so lighting is very important.

Be mindful of shadows cast across your Jeep, particularly where you want to see a different paint color.

The better the photo to start with the better will be the results.

Yelenik [QUOTE=Coffeeman;4086276]No problem. I have done a few lifts on this thread. I have one ahead of you. Provide me with a high enough res photo and I will show you your Jeep as a half track or hovercraft. It is pretty much all possible, limited primarily by the quality of the photo you start with. The main reason for differences in quality in the photos that get the PS treatment on this thread is the quality of the photo I start with: resolution and more importantly the clarity of the photo.

Ok sounds good, i'll get a list of everything I want added and post a pic of my jeep when I get home from work later tonight.

Thanks

;When buying a digital camera even more important than resolution is the size of the light sensor relative to the number of pixels. Consumer (lower priced) super high resolution cameras use sensors that are not really designed (large enough surface area) to handle the number of pixels being crammed into the sensor which causes "pixel bleed." In truth, unless you plan to print a lot of poster-size images, 10 MP is more than enough, and where the camera is not designed to be able to make good use of larger amounts of pixels ($$$) it hurts the final image. Higher res looks good on the box. My go-to is a 8 MP SLR from 2006, outperforms most modern < $500 cameras. Sorry for the rant. Going camping in a few, enjoy the weekend all.

Black rims

Here you are, one set of black rims. I went with a flat black. I can gloss them up if you would like, but I thought it would look better in flat.

Metalcloak Overlines

Alright, here you go, Overlines. I painted the insert in the front to match your Jeep's paint. Sorry about the long turn around.

Bushwacker flat flares

Here you go, one set of Bushwacker flatties. I think the angles on the flares go compliment the shape of the stinger. I would go for it.
