wangus Yeah, I was planning on upgrading my headlights and I have a set of oem fogs that I'm going to replace with the KC oem replacement fogs.

richp I'd start off with a good set of E code headlights, add a good set of fogs on the bumper and then put the driving lights on the windshield frame.
I run CIBIE's for headlights, Hella 500's for fog and am looking at some other hella lights for the driving side, more for looks though, around here I rarely get to use the high beams unless late at nite or really early in the morning, too much traffic. Off road they tend to tick off your spotter

AzTJ Fog: Low wide patter used in low visibility driving
Driving: Medium range with medium width beam
Long Range/Pencil: long beam narrow beam

______________

Most important thing to know, you don't want fog lights on your windshield as they will shine directly on your hood and blind you.

My KC lights really are not that bulky... and any 6" light mounted on the windshield is going to take up a bit of viewing distance, slim or not. After a couple of weeks, I really didn't pay any attention to the newly installed lights. And I'm actually thinking of picking up some KC fogs or driving and putting them on the tabs on my bumper though.

solo97tj i have factory fog lights and there a really wide light beam driving lights are like a pencil beam of light long and very bright, and long range light are just like they sound kinda of like the driving light long and kinda like a pencil beam of light (someone correct me if im wrong it's been a long day)

wangus What is the difference between the fog lights and the driving lights? And thanks for the quick replies
03-25-2008 10:21 PM
solo97tj this is my next step i have been looking at a lot of different options and i don't like how bulkey the KC daylights are and i think i will get the long range slim lights IMO

Smeghead Get a cop light like mine, its fun to shine it into the mirrors of the person infront of you when they piss you off

AzTJ I love my KC Daylighters(#238). I was able to pick them up for under $100 shipped from a place on eBay. I just used them on the way home, I can light up the trees for quite a distance. I used them tonight because the way I go home, you'll usually see some elk, and I saw about 12.

Which Lights?

I'm thinking of getting some lights to mount on the windshield and was wondering what would be some good lights to mount in that location.
