Just got back from Mexico; Jeeps are EXPENSIVE THERE

O boy. I really missed my Jeep. After two and a half weeks, my TJ just fired up and I had some fun with her.

When I was in Mexico, I found some surf spots that were really only accessble by Jeep. Yukons, F 150 4X4s, Jeep Cherokees were getting stuck.

The Jeep I rented, however, saved and rescued 3 vehicles: 2 cars and one 4X4 Expedition.

I rented a Jeep for only 2 days and had a compact car for the rest of my trip. I would've loved to rent the Jeep longer but it cost $160 a day; for Mexco, that's nucking expensive.

Here is the breakdown:

1. Compact car: $15 a day
2. Mid Size: $40 a day
3. Minivan: $ 45 a day
4. SUV(Explorer/Durango): $70 a day
5. Jeep Liberty: $80 a day
6. Jeep Wrangler: $160 a day (HOLY SMOKES!!!!!!!!!!)
I'm glad I rented the Wrangler for two days because I felt safe where I went. Guys were getting stuck in sand and deep mud. The Jeep, however, seemed to just glide over everything. I guess the Wrangler was so expensive because it could literally get you anywhere. By the way, the Jeep we rented was a '98 TJ Wrangler 4X4; WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!
