Hilldweller My Wrangler still isn't in; is there a pdf or something with the owners manual available online?
What are the oil change intervals?

jiminma Turn on the key but don't start the Jeep. Wait until the message flashes. Then pump the gas petal three times. Turm the key off. This should clear the oil warning.

kkola It's gone! But it wasn't that easy, and I'm not 100% sure what cured it. I tried Gary's idea...several times. No luck. I took it to the dealer. The tech couldn't find it in their computer. Nor could he find anytthing in the manual, even though I had already looked for it there. he hopped in the driver's seat and tried the accelator pedal trick severalo times. No luck. He then, pressed the trip reset button and turned the key on without starting the engine. All the indicator arms immediately jumped to the far right of their respective dials. Every single idiot light lit up. He continued holding the button. In 2-3 second intervals, the indicator arms moved to the left, in 3 successive movements. He did this a couple of times, and tried the accelerator pedal trick here and there. The warning light and chime disappeared, and it's been gone for almost 2 weeks. Good luck!

kkola I joined this group just to learn how to disable that annoying warning. Thanks, Gary!

soupy1957 I found a simple solution to this problem. I take my new 08 to the dealer and let HIM change the oil. (I make sure I tell THEM to reset the idiot message!!)

Gary1129 Turn the key to run engine off and slowly press the accelerator pedal three times....start the vehicle.....I do it several times a day....works everytime ....most folks do the pedal to fast the instruction say slowly within 10seconds ,I believe, but I havent actually read em.....it works like a vast majority of Chrysler and GMs tho........f
