87YJnTX go with a 8.8 out of a ford explorer almost identical on size, much stronger, and can get disc brakes with it out of a junkyard, mine was 250. New spring perches and shock mounts for about $40 more, and your good to go.

DirtyRob I would look on Craigslist for a replacement axle locally. The axle will take about the same amount of time (if not less) than replacing the ring and pinion. Bleeding the brakes is the most pain in a swap, and that isn't even that bad

95YamJam Just find a junkyard or used d35 and swap the whole thing. Thats the cheapest.

How Much Will This Repair Cost?

So I was just informed that I blew the Rear differential of my 93 jeep wrangler. I can drive it when put into 4h but i don't want to have to depend on that. Does anyone know roughly how much it should cost to get it fixed?

Thanks!
