|TJ-JAM||Well I've done some research and it seems to be an issue on a lot of automatic TJs..and really there is no fix to it. At this point I'm going with 4.88 gears which was suggested to me by Jerry but I'm really doing it for performance don't really think it's going to take care of the problem|

|jwright7217||I run 4.10s on my 33s. I love it. Its way better than when i had the 3.07s. I do have a 6speed though. Also wasnt that expensive.|

Im no expert but ive never heard of gears causing a load on your overdrive, if that was the case itd be in ALL your gears ALL the tim....My guess, if it is only there with overdrive, it's probably a tranny issue with the overdrive.

Ok when to another jeep shop they told me my angle is fine ... That I should consider gears since I'm running 33 on stock gears he told me to go with 4.88
He says what's happening is that when the jeep goes into over drive it creates a load on the gears..? We tested it when it started the vibration took the over drive off and it went away

|HarryJeepGuy||This ^ . And just my opinion from the less than ideal pictures, I think your pinion is pointing too high. Get a good (better) angle finder if needed, but I bet you end up shortening your adjustable upper control arms.|

|Imped||I've alreay told you exactly what to do and where to measure from. Use some common sense combined with my advice and fix it. Double check that your rear output yoke nut is torqued down.|

So I got my shaft back it was out of balance got it balanced properly. Came back home slapped it back in hoping for the best since got the DAMN vibes more like a humming. So this is all I've done new bearings in the complete rear end re-balanced drive shaft. Tried and aligned the differential strengthening ribs to the middle of the drive shaft VIBES....I've used an angle finder I've been at 14-15* at shaft and pinion VIBES
Ok the crazy part I said the hell with it I tried aligning it by eye I got 14* at the shaft and 20* at the pinion (which I measured from the top of the pinion because I had to angle finders one at shaft one on pinion and didn't fit)
It got better abit just abit less VIBES....how can that be......???.?
Can you thing else be wrong......? I have rough country adjustable upper control arms can they be damaged ..?
Will it help if I guess lower adjustable .....?
Then I also took it to a local jeep shop the guy made it seem the vibes are soooo bad I've seen jeeps come here with the doors shaking......THANKS DROVE OFF...!!!!!
I appreciate what all you guys have suggested and for your time trust me I want this to END already too..!

As for the tires--tire wobbles and driveline vibrations are totally different and feel nothing alike. I highly doubt he's mistaking one for the other.

The last picture looks like the pinion is still pointing down, but the camera angle could throw it off. If you are just going to give us camera shots only, pull the left rear tire off to get the picture. The diagonal rib on the rear end needs to be in-line with the center of the drive shaft, maybe 1 degree off, no more. Hope that helps. If you are questioning your angle guage use a yard stick (old skool type stuff). Lay the yard stick along the diagonal web and up the drive shaft, that will show you real quick.
BTW, it looks like you have new tires? I see blue on the lettering, your vibration could be a tire / wheel issue. Always remember balancing machines balance tires at 30 - 60 - 90 mph, if your vibration is near 60 mph (55 - 65 mph) that could be the issue.

|village idiot||I think you are spinning your wheels with all this photo stuff. We can't measure your stuff off of photographs. Go back to post #18, do that and be happy. If, after that, you still have vibration, then it's coming from somewhere else.|

Visually it looks OK from my vantage point....but instead of asking us, why don't you determine for yourself if it's OK by answering the above two questions?

What about "set the pinion inline with the drive shaft" doesn't make sense?
See the two circles on either side of the diff cover? Those are perpendicular to the pinion. You should be able to figure the rest out.

|Jerry Bransford||You need to take your pictures standing a little further towards the rear, so the photo isn't taken from the front looking toward the rear. Take the photos standing slightly more toward the rear of the jeep so the camera is looking straight at where the pinion shaft connects to the drivehsaft.|
