Ditto for me too. You can double clutch if you have to, but man, it is ugly.

I used to do the same thing on my 06 Rubi Steve. Never tried it moving, always stopped, in neutral, clutch in.

Colo-TJ What I do right or wrong ,, is come to a complete stop. nuetral on the shifter.. clutch in.. pull handle.
I NEVER try to go into 4L while moving. haven't ever had good luck that way.

2006TJRubicon Hey, quick question, and I should probably post elsewhere, but whenever I try to engage 4L, I hear grinding sounds. It's a manual, and the procedure I follow in the manual states be going 2-3 miles per hour, clutch in, and then pull up the lever. When I push the clutch in, it's in gear, should it not be in gear when I push the clutch in and pull the lever up?

2006TJRubicon Hey guys,

Steve here with the stock 2006 TJ Rubicon. Had a blast this past Sunday. Awesome pictures. Look forward to getting out on the trails and seeing you guys again.

YJ325i sigh, sigh, those pix where awesome, looks like u guys had a blast. was it as warm as it looked? got my t-case mount fixed, ordered my new CB from amazon. I really hope you guys plan another trip there this year. My new tires are itching for some trail, bad.

Oldguy I'm really glad you all had such a great time

Wish I could have been there to share the fun, although I'm glad I didn't have to share the fun of the drive back

For you newbies, that was not a trivial trail, you did yourselves proud, again

I'll see if I can come with a different sort of "learning experience" for you next weekend
