I have a 2011 & it started to tap/tick & couldn't figure it out. Check oil level & it was low a bit.I believe about half way. And I could hear it pretty much at idle only. I could rev it at idle & here it still. Wasn't really loud. It was low enough but at a point you hear it.
Just had the oil change a few weeks ago & haven't heard it since. Not your issue, but to anyone who is reading this, here's one thing to check if you hearing ticking noise.

Check your build date. I think this has been resolved.

|Doc3613||Update! My tire weights were knocked loose off roading causing it to vibrate at higher speeds. Lesson learned, going to fix that lol|

|Doc3613||It's not the engine! Sounds like its coming from the front. Im wondering if a barring would cause that. It's only at 40mph or above, atleast that's when I hear it|

Speed sensitive bomb?
It's almost impossible to help you without more info. Is it coming from the front, the back, the roof? Does it change as you speed up and slow down (I know you said it disappears completely when you slow down)? Does it sound like something in the engine?
Best I can do.

|daggo66||Could be a valve tap. Have you checked you oil? If that's good you should check oil pressure.|

Ok, I have a 2010 JKU, at 40mph and above I hear a ticking noise. When I slow down I dont hear it. I have checked for something in tires, under the vehicle ect.. If anybody has any input on this? Ty
