QADaemon Pretty much out of the blue, though I guess it could have been slowly getting worse given it's been winter here and I could have overlooked it fairly easily. I see a worm-type clamp around what I assume to be the filler tube, much like a radiator hose. Is that not what yours looked like?

ronkeller8 Is this something that just started happening out of the blue or did you do something prior that may have caused it? I ask that only because I recently had to drop my tank, and all of the tubing was almost welded in place, doesn't seem like it would just leak for no reason.
If you do take it apart, it's simple. Just a few screws around the gas cap and then some tubing a clamps. Keep us posted!

Gas filler tube leak?

I have a small gas leak that is spilling on the rear driver side corner of the gas tank skid plate. I looked up and it looks like it might be coming from the filler tube. I can disassemble the whole thing and find out where exactly it is coming from, but I figured I would check here and see if there is something common first. :-) It's an 04 straight six with a 5-speed, though I think all the gas tanks were identical by then.
