CCDaniell Thanks for all the replies guys. I had done a complete rebuild on the carb about two years ago now as the jeep had been sitting for three years pryor to that. I will look into all these suggestions once I get back into the country next month.

kik I bet there's a problem with your float, sticking, etc. I would start there.

Beastmaster If that doesn't work it might be an internal problem. Sometimes the float springs break/slip/wear out over time.

CCDaniell Thanks for the response Busemans. I will have to do a little more research to see if I can find these tubes you are talking about.

busemans some carbs have these litle tubes you can install that help on inclines. i cannot remember the name of htem though but i know holley's can use them. they keep the gas from exposing the top of the jet when you are not flat so you don;t suck air in

Another Carburator Question...

I have a 89 YJ 4.2 with carburator and Im currios to know if there is something I can do or change on the carb to help keep it from stalling when on inclines. It runs great until I am either climbing or descending down a creek bank or other obstacles with similar angles. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
