DeeJayy Just to follow up with the issue, my new handle came in today and I took my door off, found out it had nothing to do with the handle but down where the rod connects to the lock, there's a pink clasp that broke, so I'll keep an eye out for that and look for one but I jerry rigged it to work for now, btw the jesus clip is a pain in the ass lol. I think you can see what I was talking about in the picture.

You may have to scroll through a few pages, but there are a lot of fasteners that are hard to find listed there.
Thanks for the website Chief. I'm gonna have a fun time looking through there. Hopefully get a few other fasteners while I'm there. Looks like a PITA to find what you need lol

If you take the screw out of the inside door handle area, you should be able to see two steel rods - one connecting the door handle and the other to the lock. What has happened is the end of the rod has become disconnected form the lock lever - - It uses a plactic "L" bracket to connect the rod to the lever (exactly as the door handle lever and rod)

The tip of the rod (where it connects to the lever) is also shaped like and "L" and will fit into a hole on the lever - the plastic elbow keeps them connected together during use.

you can order a new (interior) door handle and lock with shipping comes to less than $20 - - if you order, be sure to order the specific side (driver or passenger)

just my opinion - - its easier to view/repir the rods and such if you remove the door from the hinges - Lay the door on a flat surface (table or bench) and remove the inner door cover.

Hope this helps
Sounds pretty straight foward, sounds like a have a little project this weekend. Where do you order the handles from? OEM or somewhere like quadratec or something?

MrHix They also sell those clips in Auto part stores in the help section, take your broken one with you or a snap shot with your phone and match it up. They will have a few different styles so dont just grab any one of them. Cheaper, closer and faster.

Inside Door Lock

I've searched the forum and didn't find a topic already so I figure I'd make a new one. My problem happend the other day and didn't know if there might be an easier way to go about it. So the door lock on the inside of the passenger door came loose as in it wont lock or unlock the door anymore. The lock works perfectly from the outside and the handle works perfectly from the inside to actually open the door. I've looked at the service manual, would the best way to go about it to just take the door panel off and see whats up? Just seeing if there are any tips from anyone this has happened too before, thanks in advance.
