I also have no way of knowing if a 4 year old top will work on my '12 and if they are giving me all the parts I need for it since I know nothing about the parts required to install the top or even how to do it, even though I plan to figure it out on my own. I just don't want to buy a used top and find out halfway through the install that something is missing that I didn't know about.
My top was off a 07.

Keep in mind, in most cases the soft top is seasonal, only on for a few months out of the year.

My too looks new

I will probably have it installed by the dealership since I see story after story where people struggle putting on their new soft tops.

What brand? What style? What price range? Full soft doors?

I appreciate any feed back and information.

the Kolector I found there to be waaaaaaay more soft tops for the JKU than the JK and the prices pretty rediculious. Just bought a used top off ebay this morning at 399.00 in my area, most will not ship or want too much if they will.

Just found an OEM take off...new/never installed...on Craig's List. Search term was Soft top for jeep. Plenty listed and mostly for JKU... prices range from $300 to about $700. Try Searchtempest.com which searches all of CL within a given area

campdave We installed the Bestop Supertop NX for the first time yesterday. It had some holes drilled in the wrong place. Once we drilled the holes in the right place it installed much easier. We had trouble zipping the back window all the way down. Hopefully when it warms up it will zip on down. There is a video on YouTube that shows how to install it also. Much better than paying the dealership.

But you have to already have the hardware for the replace-a-top....

the Kolector Pretty sure that Bestop makes the OEM softtop. Follow the directions and it wil install just fine. Its really not that hard and not worth paying a dealership, or anyone else for that metter, to install it for you.

What is the best soft top for quality?

I got my 2011, 4 door Wrangler last fall. Came with factory hard top but now that nice weather is here, time for the soft top but no idea where to begin. Looking for quality, ease of use to where 1 person can put top up or take it down. I will probably have it installed by the dealership since I see story after story where people struggle putting on their new soft tops.
