|cavediverjc||I have USAA and couldn't be happier. With the multi-car discounts, I'm paying less for 3 vehicles than I was when I only had the one. They've been nothing but great for me. Granted, I've only had one claim with them, but it was taken care of immediately with both parties happy.|

|lo lo||We have been USAA customers for 16 years (ever since me and my wife joined the Army), and NEVER had an issue. They are the best insurance out there. No other company can touch them on price. We also have checking/savings with them, and they have always been great. The only thing I don't use them for is vehicle loans. We use Navy Federal Credit Union for those. Another satisfied customer here! USAA!|

Sorry you had problems Chief, but I know several people that have USAA and we all love it. I switched and saved a ton of money. I've had several claims (wife and son) and they handled it great. The wife totalled her car on a Friday, and we had a check Thursday for more than we thought it was worth. Just added Life Insurance with them, since my VGLI went from $55.00 to $90.00 a month for $250,000 coverage. USAA is set for 10 years at $57.50.
These guys are great people doing us that have served a great service.

Had USAA for 22 years and love 'em. They have always been there for me no questions asked, replaced two cars as well as fixed hail damage. I use them for everything but my mortgage.
Bunch of great hard working folks down there. I even had a flat screen TV stolen out of the wife's car the night we bought it. Called USAA up, faxed them the receipt and the money for a new one was in my account in 15 minutes.

ah. so that is where the money they shafted me out of went.
Undercut me by 30% on a totaled vehicle by using a third party evaluator who weighted toward the stripped model of the vehicle in the region where that vehicle brought the lowest price. After dragging their feet for almost three months on the payout, they didn't see any issue with this, and told me I could go to arbitration, knowing that would cost me more than the difference.
This was a Toyota Corolla - not modified, not allot of money, but they thought it important enough to crap on this Chief Petty Officer.
Never could give me the same number via phone or email that actually appeared on my insurance bill, and there was never any continuity in what they called 'service'.
I had to explain everything from the beginning every time I had interactions with them - as an example, after I'd had their insurance for two years, they said 'Chief, how do you qualify for USAA again?" Really? CHIEF how do you qualify? They had been asking that question for 18 months...
Avoid these people like the plague.
Diatribe over - meant as a warning for the forum members to avoid a fraudulent vendor.

For you who use USAA but have not seen their headquarters in San Antonio.
What struck me was that it looked professional without screaming much money spent (like many bank buildings).
